I bought a plant its red and spiky its an inside plant so I water it once a week!!!!!! But I had to speak in Arabic to the guy to buy the plant. It was my goal to do it. I have some pictures of me buying the plant and talking to the man in the plank souk (which is the Arabic word for market). There was some difficulties, like I tried to ask the man to lower the price, but he thought I said “Ficus” which is a kind of plant. It was embarrassing. But I checked my Arabic book, said the right words, and he got it!

We aren’t sure what kind of plant it is, but it is pretty. It even has a blossom on it growing.
That is so cool Syd. I love photo peach too, so easy to use. I am very impressed with you learning Arabic, I actually don’t think I know anything in Arabic except for Inshallah which I have heard but never really said before.
It is nearly Summer… enjoy your vacation.
Love Kimbra

Good on ya for using your Arabic. I couldn’t see the pix. The PhotoPeach album get going right to the credits.

Hmmm…I didn’t mean to put that face in the comment above. I was trying to make a sad face.
Hey Syd! I also wasn’t able to look at your PhotoPeach show. Rats! But I am freaking out that you’re learning Arabic! It seems really hard. I think the writing is beautiful, though. Are you going to learn to write in Arabic, too? I am really proud of you and Han for blogging together. It’s going to be so fun to read all your posts and share your experiences through your blog. Have a wonderful summer!!
xoxo

well done on the Arabic, you are very clever. I find you young girls are way more clever than any of my generation. It is all this wonderful travel and meeting heaps of people all over the world. love, Gay Jeffries xxx
